The Barrie area posted another strong year-over-year gain in March 2010.
The number of homes sold in March 2010 is up by 50% from levels reported in the same month last year. It would seem that buyers are being motivated by an advance of interest rate hikes and the upcoming HST.
The average price for homes sold in the first three months of this year is up 8% compared to the same period in 2009.
New listings rose sharply in March 2010 which has slowed the rate of decline in overall supply.
